Re-Inventing Teatime
Our long-standing client Vorwerk has completely reimagined the concept of tea. For Vorwerk Temial, we developed a comprehensive
IoT-ecosystem based on a smart cloud server that connects the tea maker with a mobile app. As part of the Thermomix producing Vorwerk group, the Temial business unit was set up to launch the Temial tea maker as a connected device to bring the ancient art of tea making into the cup.
Yukawa was asked to develop the central cloud component that orchestrates all data flows in the ecosystem and to integrate the physical device with mobile external applications.
Yukawa's integration layer needed to include various components containing business logic, such as sales comission for the digital direct sales activities, an advisor portal for the salesforce and the entire backend integration, which included the integration of SAP ByDesign, the logistics service provider using Lobster and the POS Terminals of more than 60 stores.
With the aid of our cloud, we were able to link all the data we needed together to provide centralised data management.
